History of Japan!
In the early Japan period( until 710) the majority of people who inhabited were fishers or gatherers which was in the Jomon Period(13000-300BC). The first documents dated from about the 5th century when Emperor Jimmu was declared the first Emperor of Japan. Nara was the first centralized capital of the country in the late 8th century. This period was the last time that the political power was held by an Emperor. This then transitioned to the Heian period which moved the capital to Kyoto from Nara. At the end of this period, the aristocracy lost their power and the Kamakura period marked the beginning of military rule. The Shoguns became almost as powerful or more than the Emperor as this point. They controlled large areas of land and would divide it up and give the responsibility to a Daimyo. In 1867 the Tokugawa Shogunate collapsed and this gave way to the Meiji Restoration. The capital then moved again to Tokyo. This was the beginning of Japan putting efforts into industrializing their country. After World War One though, Japans economy took a decline and hit down very low in about 1926(Showa recession). Japan saw that China had many resources they could use in their country and this led to a war in 1937. The United States eventually entered the war after the incident in Hawaii(Pearl Harbor). The United States fought back by sending two atomic bombs to Hiroshima and Nagasaki which made Japan surrender. After all this happened Japan switched their government from imperial and military rule to a parliamentary democracy, which seems to be working a lot better for their country. Japan today does not have much natural resources, though they are an economic and technological powerhouse because of all the inventions they've created.
